Oldenburg: Famos Valerie with WOW! feeling

For Famos Valerie and me, the advanced (S*) level dressage competition in Oldenburg was only our third tournament together. At our first two competitions that summer in Görlitz, this incredibly talented eight-year-old daughter of Revolution - owned by Famos Stud - had qualified for the Burg-Pokal final right off the bat.

At the EWE Arena, we were now competing indoors for the first time. She was a bit intimidated by the spectator stands, which stretched almost all the way to the arena - though they weren’t yet full that early in the morning. But she stayed right by my side, listened very attentively, and put on a truly spectacular and harmonious performance with some amazing highlights. And not just in the extensions - which seem to be this powerhouse’s favorite movements - but also in the collected movements, where she showed just how far she can go… WOW!!

With a score of 74.786 percent, we placed second - and now we’ll be the first pair to compete again in the Youngster Tour final tomorrow, Friday … please keep your fingers crossed!
