SCHNEIDER-Dorothee-(GER),-Escalito_SL_1180-017-2887_1500px.jpg

Escalito has the Burg Cup final ticket in his pocket. At the show in Balve, the formidable son of Escolar won the St. Georges Special with a superior score of 74.917 percent under Dorothee Schneider. He had already led the field in the qualifier for the final in Mannheim - his first ever start in the advanced class.

Escalito began his career in 2017 as the second reserve winner of the Westphalian licensing and received a rideability score of 9.0 at his 14-day test the following year. After wins (with a score of 8.8) and placings in tests for young riding and dressage horses under Hannah Laser, he qualified for the 2020 Dressage Horse Bundeschampionat. His first placings in medium (M) level tests for young dressage horses followed in 2021.

Escalito carries the coveted Ehrentusch bloodline through his sire Escolar, himself a two-time Bundeschampion, Burg Cup runner-up, Louisdor Prize fourth-place finisher and international Grand Prix winner.

The maternal side of the pedigree is also particularly interesting, as there are valuable jumping bloodlines here, especially via the Holsteiner line founder Cor de la Bryère.

The granddam Nicolina is a full sister to the 1.60 meter jumping mare Miss Saigon I. The half-brother Caretanos (by Carentan) placed in 1.45 meter courses.

The HLP winner and placed Bundeschampionat finalist Carpaccio in third place in the pedigree is followed by the top performers Lavall, Calypso I and Cantus.

The dam's sire Conello produced two licensed sons as well as various internationally successful show jumpers and dressage horses. Great-grandsire Carpaccio was an HLP winner, placed in the 1996 Bundeschampionat final for five-year-old dressage horses and qualified for Warendorf again the following year. Carpaccio stands for the outstanding versatility of the Holsteiner horse. With the strong bloodline of the top performer Lavall I, the versatile top sire Calypso I, the show jumper millionaire Cantus and the esteemed half-breeds Colonel and Allasch, the maternal pedigree leaves nothing to be desired in terms of performance density and high-percentage blood content.

A stallion with outstanding potential and an excellent pedigree: Licensed at the Southern German Stallion Days, he subsequently passed his stallion examinations and was singled out as a premium stallion in Munich-Riem. Under Volker Brodhecker and then Carolin Brandt, he won tests for young dressage horses and was also in the Swiss line-up for the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. His first successes in the advanced level followed at the age of seven.

In 2021 I got into the saddle of Flashback and after first national ribbons we celebrated our first international successes one year later. In 2023 we were happy about a successful start at three-star level.

His sire Franziskus was in the German squad for the Olympic Games in Tokyo/JPN with riding champion Ingrid Klimke, after numerous successes in the Grand Prix quad including the German Championship. As a nine-year-old, he was third in the Louisdor Prize Final, having previously placed second in the Burg Cup Final. Franziskus started his career by winning the Bundeschampionat. As a six-year-old, he also placed at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Franziskus sired more than 30 licensed sons and numerous successful offspring.

The new dream couple gave a first taste of themselves at the traditional stallion show in Münster - and what a show it was. Under his new rider, master rider and double Olympic champion Dorothee Schneider, our Bundeschampion Segantini demonstrated the charisma that has surrounded him since his first appearance at the 2020 Hanoverian stallion licensing in Verden. Back then, he was singled out as a shining premium stallion. This was followed in 2021 by the superior HLP victory in Adelheidsdorf with an overall score of 9.03 (willingness to perform 10). He then went on to become Bundeschampion of four-year-old stallions under Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE. Segantini was awarded the maximum score of 10 for rideability and 9.0 for all other criteria. A total of 9.2 meant gold, after he had already secured silver at the Hanoverian Championships. In 2022, he was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize by the Hanoverian Verband. In 2023, as a five-year-old, he qualified straight away and then several times for the Bundeschampionat for young dressage horses, won bronze at the Hanoverian Championships and was called up as a reserve member of the German team for the World Championships for five-year-olds in Ermelo/NED.

Segantini dominated the shows and auctions with his wonderfully typey foals full of movement. At the German Foal Championships in Lienen, his daughter Stormy Alferate went to the final ring. His son Segantino was the top price at the 139th Elite Auction of the Hanoverian Verband.

Segantini is from the first crop of Secret, who went on to become dressage horse Vice World Champion, Bundeschampion and Vice Bundeschampion under Jessica Lynn Thomas. Over 50 of his sons were licensed. His sporting offspring include the Vice-Bundeschampion Sézane, the Vice-Bundeschampion and Hanoverian Champion Sedamo K, the Hanoverian Champion So Dynamic, the Vice-Champion Special Design, the Austrian Bundeschampion Santa Florentina, the DSP Vice-Champion Selected and the Baden-Württemberg State Champion Santana.

Segantini's dam, Financial Time, is a full sister to the licensed and Grand Prix-winning First Step. She also produced the Champion Mare St.Pr.St. Semana by Kükenmoor (by St. Moritz Junior) and the Gelderland Champion Sehnsucht by Kükenmoor (by Savoy).

The dam's sire Fidermark was licensing reserve winner in 1994, HLP winner in 1995, Vice Bundeschampion in 1996 and went on to win Grand Prix under Marlies van Baalen/NED. He has 40 licensed sons to his name. His more than 20 Grand Prix-successful offspring include Favourit/Sönke Rothenberger, Forward Looking/Dorothee Schneider and Florida/Nadine Husenbeth.

Segantini's pedigree also includes the Donnerhall grandson Dream of Heidelberg I and the Rubinstein sire Rosenkavalier.

The stallions Rosselini (by Rosenkavalier), Amadeo (by Adlerruf), Ghandi (by Gold Dollar), Grande Gold (by Grande), Chico (by Cacir x) and Pilatus (by Perseus) as well as the three-time European Youth Champion Paso Doble (by Don Primero)/Sanneke Rothenberger also come from the Hanoverian performance line of Kabanus.

Virazzo is currently being prepared for future appearances in the big arena - in line with his outstanding qualities - by riding master and two-time Olympic champion Dorothee Schneider. This noble shining black stallion from the direct line of the sire of the century Florestan, entered the Bundeschampionat final for five-year-old dressage horses in 2021 under Jana Schrödter in fifth place and with the highest trot score (9.0) and also showed a very appealing performance here. In 2022, Virazzo switched to Dorothee Schneider and recorded victories in medium (M) level tests for young dressage horses, including qualifying again for Warendorf.

Until now, sport has taken priority for Virazzo. At the request of many breeders, he is now available via fresh semen.

His sire Vivaldi is one of the world's top ten dressage sires in the WBFSH ranking. He has his numerous Grand Prix offspring to thank for this, including the licensed stallions Desperado N.O.P./Emmelie Scholtens/NED, Glock's Dream Boy N.O.P./Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, Expression/Diederik van Silfhout/NED, Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED and Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN. A total of 70 sons were approved for breeding, including the Burg Pokal winner Vitalis/Isabel Freese/NOR. Vivaldi himself was HLP reserve winner in the Netherlands, Pavo Cup winner and two-time winner of the KNHS/KWPN stallion series (trot 10). Under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, he placed internationally up to St. Georges. In 2013 he won the VHO Trophy at the KWPN licensing.

His dam Renaissance is a half-sister to the licensed St. Ludwig's Landmann (by Lanciano) and was victorious in tests for young riding horses. She produced Valentine (by Sir Donnerhall I), sixth in the World Dressage Championships under Ashley Holzer/USA, and BreFood's Sweet Valentine (by Sir Donnerhall I)/Katharina Hemmer, who was successful in advanced (S) level dressage competitions. The Renaissance daughter Romantic Shanghai (by Sandro Hit) is the dam of River of Love EA (by Franziskus), who was successful up to St. Georges level.

The dam's sire Ragazzo was considered a versatile sire. In 1994 he passed his stallion performance test in Neustadt/D. with an index of 129.34 as the winner. From then on, he was bred in Sweden and then in Great Britain. Four licensed sons are recorded, including Ratino, who was successful in 1.30 meter jumping competitions. The Danish team horse Jonstrupgardens Raneur/Lisbet Seierskilde as well as Remondini/Christina Boos and Barbados Melody/Pether Markne/SWE, who were also successful at Grand Prix level, made a name for themselves in the dressage arena. Rossini Grande won bronze at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses. Several offspring placed in 1.60 meter courses, including Rayana Chiara, who was part of the second-placed Nations Cup team in Calgary/CAN under Jonathan Asselin/CAN and finished seventh in the Grand Prix.

The granddam St.Pr.St. Fähre also recorded serial victories in tests for young riding and dressage horses. Her full sister Fidelity is the dam of Lewin (by Lewinski)/ Luciana Diniz/BRA and Peter Wylde/USA, who was successful in 1.60 meter show jumping competitions. Her half-sister Wicke (by Worldchamp) was successful in dressage competitions up to medium (M**) level and produced Duncan Mc Cloud (by Don Bedo I), who also placed at medium (M**) level.

The great-granddam Parodie is a half-sister to the mare Raute (by Rheingold), from whom Florestan I and his full brother Florestan II (both by Fidelio), so important for modern dressage horse breeding, descend.

The line of the Erlenkette also includes the licensed stallions Lugato (by Lanciano), Don Fuego (by Don Bedo I) and Sandro Primero (by Sandro Hit).
