Kronberg: On to the Schafhof

Villeneuve, Sisters Act OLD and First Romance are off to the finals of the Nuremburg Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize today.

Even though I am very sad that the Festhalle tournament in Frankfurt cannot take place this year, I am even more pleased that my young horses can still compete in the finals of the Nuremberg Burg Cup and Louisdor Prize. The Linsenhoff/Rath family is hosting the competitions at Schafhof Stud.

In addition to First Romance, who is qualified for the Louisdor Prize, Villeneuve and Sisters Act OLD are also competing in the Burg-Pokal finals. My third qualified horse of this series, Lordswood Dancing Diamond, stays at home. Unfortunately, according to the rules I am only allowed to ride two horses in the final and after careful consideration I have decided to ride Villeneuve and Sisters. Both horses got their ticket to the final first and have been in training with me for a very long time. The highly talented Lordswood Dancing Diamond I have only had in the stable for about a year. I will now continue to train him with his owner Tamara Rehnig towards the Louisdor Prize.

It was an extremely difficult decision, as all three horses qualified with over 77 percent. A real luxury problem! Nevertheless, I am happy that we have found a solution with which everyone is satisfied, even though I would have liked to have ridden all three horses in the final, of course!
