Where "Showi" first really danced into the limelight exactly ten years ago, he will now also celebrate his sporting farewell and bid a fitting farewell to his fans: at the Frankfurt Festhalle tournament.
In 2013, he won the warm-up competition for the Burg Cup in this prestigious arena and finished fifth in the final. At the upcoming 50th edition of this top event in the Hesse metropolis, the time has come on Saturday evening. Then it will be "It's Showtime" for him for the last time - I already have a lump in my throat just thinking about it ...
But luckily we won't be alone. Our companions, especially my two friends, Showi's owners Gabriele Kippert and Eva Maria Mann, as well as Showi's carers and many people from and around my team will be there. This farewell will also give me the opportunity to say thank you once again from the bottom of my heart. Without the fantastic support of our fans, our successes would hardly have been possible.
I hope you will all be there when Showi bids farewell to the sporting stage. We would be delighted!
