Our dress rehearsal in Frankfurt went a treat – and we set a new personal best of 75.490 per cent!! All three judges were in agreement: first place in the Oldenburg Youngster Final.
From enter to the final salute, Famos Valerie was completely on form in the St. Georges Special – which is also ridden in the final of the Nuremberg Burg-Pokal – responding to the slightest aids and ‘purring’ her way through the test with superb confidence. I’m actually a bit lost for words! She has matured incredibly and we have truly become one – and can now demonstrate this under competition conditions too. And, just between us, I can reveal that this feels like only the beginning for this incredibly talented mare, owned by Gestüt Famos …
