Görlitz: Another victory for Maxi Kraft’s Barcelo OLD

Barcelo OLD has been on a break from competition since the Hamburg Derby around two months ago and is kicking off the tournament in Görlitz today with yet another victory.
Maxi Kraft’s Barcelo OLD, my ten-year-old star pupil owned by Maik Kanitzky / Gestüt Famos, never fails to impress. In Hamburg, this charming gelding won the qualifier for the Louisdor Prize final, and today in Görlitz he was once again among the top finishers. Barcelo OLD secured victory in the preliminary test of the “Stars of Tomorrow” series with 73.64 per cent, and there’s still room for improvement. Unfortunately, we made a costly mistake in the sequence changes from jump to jump, but this was more than made up for by a whole host of highlights.
