What a pity! Unfortunately, Segantini was not quite as relaxed today as he was in the warm-up test.

Segantini (owner: Maik Kanitzky / Gestüt M.K. Ammerland) secured fifth place in the World Championship final for six-year-old dressage horses. Unfortunately, Segantini got a little distracted by the other horses and the good atmosphere when I was breaking in, which meant that I didn't ride at full risk. And he also lacked the last bit of suppleness in walk. But that's ‘complaining’ at a very high level! Despite his excitement, Segantini was fantastic to ride and showed a great trot and canter tour. The judges gave him an overall score of 85.20 per cent and a 9.0 each for canter and performance.

I'm incredibly proud of him, we just have to keep building up his show routine and I'm trying to make it clear to him that he doesn't have to show everyone what a great horse he is. Because I've known that from day one!
