The six-year-old Brandenburg stallion by Don Juan de Hus, owned by the Pramwaldhof Stud, is a real star - and not only because of his chocolate chestnut colour. He has been with us since November last year. At first, Hanna rode him. Since she was not available at short notice, I presented him for the first time in Ludwigsburg in May. And already there he did a top job. He won the Bundeschampionat qualifier straight away with a 8.4 (trot 9.0). In Darmstadt he once again showed his chocolate side - and was highly praised by the judges in their commentary: De Chaunac is a very modern horse, always active in his footing and extremely elastic in his presentation, secure in his rhythm and with good self-carriage. That's good to hear! The marks were correspondingly high: 9.0 for the canter, 8.5 for the trot, the rideability and the overall impression and a 7.5 for the walk (where he could still let himself go a little more in the top-line: But that will come by itself with increasing experience, I am absolutely sure). A total of 8.4!!! Very good!
