After a break of several months, Showi celebrated his comeback in the World Cup Grand Prix of Basel today.
Phew, that was quite exciting today. Already before my ride, it was clear to me that this one would be particularly emotional. Showi has had a break from competitions for a few months now, but he is in top shape and super motivated. Today the professor was a little too ambitious here and there, as you could see in the passage where he wanted to start piaffing too early. All in all, there was a lot of tension in our performance, of course, after the long abstinence. Showi just wanted to show how good he is and preferably right away. Tomorrow we will have the freestyle on schedule, which I am really looking forward to!
